WORST Company for a Dumpster

The worst company for a dumpster. I received a dumpster with portable potties and I was cleaning out a house.

Wow, I contacted the company and was told there was nothing they could do but send another one out, however, I would have to pay another delivery fee. We have bathrooms in the house. Plus, they offered to credit $40 out of $500. I have been a customer for over 40 years; I know how to treat people.

This is not a good company to deal with.

Always check out the reviews. I was limited with time from out of state.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. My account was sent to the Director of Company Success.

The gentleman was understanding and provided me exceptional customer service. He offer me a full refund and an apology to not just me but my mom and dad which were affected by the whole ordeal.

I suggest everyone keep track of phone calls and emails. The gentleman was understanding and provided me exceptional customer service.

Here's an email update I sent.
I've had it with your company and the lack of communication your people have provided me so far.
I called Monday (September 25) but because your offices were closed I made sure to email before the end of day. I basically followed up with the dumpster removal and asked why it did not get picked up on that Monday (September 25) and if you were able to pick it up Tuesday (September 26), the following day before noon because I had other plans with another company.

The reply I got was just a reminder that you run a 1-2 day (September 25-26) pick up schedule. It had no reply to my request about it being removed before noon. Since already gave your company the benefit of the doubt and trusted you would at least get the dumpster out of my driveway by 6 pm (September 26), I did not think to call or email based on the automated pick up confirmation I got on Sunday (September 24) and the clarification reply from a Megan H at 5:06am on Tuesday morning (September 26) that it will still be picked up.
Understand me when I say your company is a joke, why would your company employee then email me within my original pick up time frame (September 25-26) that the dumpster is going to still be picked up on Tuesday (September 26) if someone from your company is claiming there was a denial of the dumpster pick up on Monday (September 25), which AGAIN is the day before she sent me an email confirming it is still scheduled to be picked up. I am not calling your employees stupid or uneducated but honesty it should be common practice in any business to at least look at the customer's account or profile before replying with a statement like, "I apologize for the confusion, as we run on a 1-2 day window for removals your dumpster can be removed anytime between 9/25 and 9/26, between 6 AM and 6 PM.

As today is the second day of the 1-2 day window this should be removed for you today."
Moving forward to Wednesday (September 27) when I called and I was still somewhat calm and understanding about the situation. The dumpster was still in my driveway and was told someone would be getting back to me about my dumpster removal and before letting go of the call I asked if I would be getting a call on the same day, I was assured I would get a call back very soon and that your office does not closed until 6 pm. That call was made at 12:34 pm pacific standard time which even if your office closed based on the eastern standard time it would still only be 3:34 pm and someone, anyone could have called or emailed me with an update or reply about the dumpster situation that I have been dealing with because I apparently could not get a straight answer for why the dumpster did not get picked up.
AGAIN! Almost everyone has access to a calendar and I assume your employees also work on a computer and can see or view a calendar that should show the date (the month and day) to compare the times and dates I have been referencing to.

I and only I have been referencing because your company people cannot communicate or provide me with any information. Not a phone call or an email to state you even took a look at my profile or account on Tuesday or Wednesday when I received an email and when I called. Now, I have never dealt with a company that does not know basic phone etiquettes and because my profile or account should show my name, the phone number, and the address you are servicing, maybe you should reteach your workers to check the area or the time zones they are calling about. If I cannot reach a supervisor after 3 pm in my time zone then no one in your company should be calling me before 8 am.
I do not appreciate calls at 7:24 am pacific standard time while I am in traffic and barely starting my day.

The call lasted 2 minutes because I cut the call short after your caller led with her name to the company and stated there will be an additional TRIP CHARGE to my card without any proof. I asked her when they tried to pick it up and who the driver spoke to. Instead was advised the driver took note about being told not to take the dumpster and that it needed to stay longer. I even mentioned that someone tried to pick it up on Saturday (September 23) which is 2 whole damn days before my scheduled pick up time.

Now the driver on Saturday (September 23) was told to leave the dumpster because your company was supposed to pick it up on Monday (September 25) not 2 days in advance. If you insist on charging me, it is because your company messed up and tried to pick up on the wrong day.
Later that day, (September 28) I sent out 2 emails twice to 2 different emails provided to me for your company. I wanted to make sure someone was actually reading them and hoped that I would at least get one reply back stating the issue was being investigated or checked. Sadly, I did not get an email but instead I got an email on Thursday (September 28) with the following, "Hello, Per our conversation, our dispatch has informed us they were not able to complete the scheduled pick up on 09/25 as they said someone onsite turned the driver away stating they needed to keep it longer.

This does result in the $150 failed trip fee outlined in your agreement. We will send you an invoice for your records via email shortly. Your last date of the rental agreement was 09/24. You will be charged for the additional 4 days the dumpster will be on site at $25 per day for a total of $100.

You will receive an invoice for this additional charge via email. Per your request, we have put you back on schedule for pick up ASAP. Pick up is scheduled for 09/29 but is on a 1-2 day service window. This means the dumpster cna be removed either Friday-09/29 or Monday-10/02.

Please feel welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns."
Please tell me why I received an email confirming my pick up will proceed on Tuesday (September 26) if you were notified by the dispatch of a failed pick up for 09/25 (September 25). As per that last email I received, why was I still charged without proof of this failed pick up (no names and no exact time when the driver stopped by) for me to check out our own neighborhood and with permission our neighbors cameras that we already reviewed. NO ONE came on Monday (September 25). Almost that whole week (September 25-28), I have been trying to confirm and get your company to remove the dumpster from my driveway because I had another company that was supposed to come in on Monday (September 25) but because your dispatch does not operate on Sunday (September 24) they agreed to stop by Tuesday at 6 pm to do a later walk through.

They were also supposed to work on my house so that it was ready the week after for my mom, who is disabled and needs the driveway cleared. I shouldn't have to mention my father is 100% disabled with the Navy and has been ready to sue your company for restricting access for a disabled veteran and his spouse since Tuesday after 6 pm because he cannot fully access his garage. I tried calling and emailing about the dumpster not being picked up the whole time and you still want to charge me an additional $25 it was left in my driveway. That's $150 for a bogus charge removal and $100 for your company's negligence and dishonesty for leaving it when I wanted it out on Monday (September 25TH).
Later that night (September 28), I wanted to confirm the dumpster was for sure being removed.

I also requested a call back immediately about the charges and that I get an update on what is happening to my account. I was assured the dumpster would be removed and they let me know I wasn't being ignored and my emails were actually being read but could not understand why I did not receive an email from the supervisor or the person above a supervisor to notify or update me about the charge or investigation. She apologized for your supervisor's lack of communication and told me she would leave a note about the driver coming on Saturday (September 23) and not (September 25). Again, if I was called and emailed earlier that day about a failed pick up on (September 25) why did your employee not see this information on my account and if she did why couldn't she give me more information, details, or proof of the failed attempt to pick up the dumpster bin.

I do not blame her as she was trained to leave notes and wait for someone else to communicate like a working professional or adult. The driver on Saturday (September 25) and the person that I spoke to Thursday night not Thursday morning (September 28) were more helpful people from your company so far.
Although I appreciate the pick up ETA and updates on Friday (September 29), why did I not receive a call on Monday (September 25) if your company is obviously able to provide such service when I am already mad, frustrated and unsatisfied with your service?! Do you require customers to be angry before they can actually receive a proper service they have already paid for? Although your company was 4 days late to pick up your dumpster from my driveway I should have still gotten a call or an email with an update on your so called investigation.

I called on Friday (September 29) at 1:24 pm pacific standard time which would have been 4:24 pm eastern standard time about an update about the additional charges on my card that was still not proven to be rightfully charged. Since there's no direct line your call center people are able to forward me to they said I would get a call back shortly and although it was almost closing time for your call centers it seemed like a slow day and that I should expect a call back that same day. Stop teaching your people in your call centers to lie to customers about call backs and such. I waited all day and did not get a call back and since your supervisors don't work the weekend, I had to wait till Monday (October 2) for an update.
I do not know what is more concerning, the lack of phone etiquette, the lack of communication, lack of proof, false charges, false confirmations, no call backs, no updates, your supervisors assigned to my issue so far have been pretty much less than helpful.

The people I have been able to reach and talk to who were not the supervisor or the person above the supervisors position assigned to my issue have been so understanding and helpful trying to figure out what has been happening. Now, your company has had a whole week to figure out what is happening and do a thorough investigation into the filed pick up and the additional charges. However, instead of a call with an apology for your company's mistake and the waste of my time and efforts to have you fix it, I got a call this morning (October 2) at 7:50 am pacific standard time which again, I have already expressed my distaste for being called before 8 am pacific standard time in a previous email that is obviously being ignored by just the supervisor or the person higher than that. I was called with no, "I am sorry for calling so early" or a "we apologies for not reaching out to you sooner".

They started with their name, the company and "we cannot remove the Pick-up removal charge because we received evidence someone did show up Monday and was refused pick-up. I have sent you a picture showing proof of pick up failure"
What the actual *** is wrong with your supervisor named Ameila and why did she try to send me an email stating, "This is Amelia, a supervisor with Budget Dumpster. I am attaching the photo the driver took from your failed delivery attempt below," with a picture that she obviously sent without looking at it herself and confirming it was actual proof backing your false charges! Your picture is stamped with the date and time which proves my point and the failure of pick up charge and any other charges should have been immediately removed from my account.

I was called at 8:39 am on Saturday (September 23) for the dumpster pick up which was scheduled for Monday (September 25). See as these dates are two days apart. The day the driver came was 2 day prior to my scheduled pick up date. I have an email for a pick up Monday-Tuesday (September 25-26) from 6 am - 6 pm.

Your company gets 2 days to pick up the dumpster and your company insists on falsely changing me for a failed pick up attempt that was made two day prior to my scheduled date. As stated, I have also reviewed my neighbors camera that directly shows our driveway and we did not see any pick up attempt on Monday (September 25) only the attempt from (September 23).
Now, I just received a call from the same Amelia and after almost 6 hours she realized she was wrong and your company was falsely charging me $150 and possibly another $100 for the days your company did not remove the dumpster. Had I not pointed out some basic information she should have reviewed before assuming I would pay your false charges, your company would still try to overcharge me. The $150 was already pulled from my account and I expect my money back as the credit memo is stated in her last email.

Additionally, when I asked for an update about the weight and location in which dump location your company may be using, she said it was impossible or hard to tell me which location you use. As your company automated email states, "Our company does not own the landfill where the dumpsters are emptied. The landfill bills our company once every 30 days. If you exceed your weight limit, we may not be notified for several weeks.

If applicable, there will be a delay in billing for excess weight fees. This overage fee will automatically be charged to your card on file." I know my contents do not weigh more than 1 ton and want evidence and proof of the charges before you charge my card again. I do not trust your company, your people, or your allegations to truthfully charge me honestly beyond reason.
Please note, my father and I will be speaking to a veterans attorney for restricting access to our garage more than stated in your confirmation email and a public attorney for falsely trying to charge me without proof or a proper investigation into the issue. I have already paid a company $250 for postponing their starting time because of your company, I believe refunding the false charges is not enough for your company's failure to communicate and investigate the false charges.

It took Amelia 6 whole hours to basically tell me the picture was taken on Saturday (September 23) instead of Monday (September 25). I basically did her job and confirmed that you falsely charged me and that I should have gotten a refund. I want compensation and an apology for your failures and false charges. I will be contacting dispatch directly but please someone needs to explain why she couldn't or wouldn't provide me with a broker code, since I will be finding out on my own where the dumpster will be emptied and how much it weighed myself since your company would try to charge me again.

If so, I will take legal action against your company and will take it as far as report to the Department of Consumer Affairs which is California's consumers protection agency and the Federal Trade Commision which enforces civil antitrust laws.
I believe I have to state it in my email, that I look forward to a reply in either an email or a phone call about compensation. I will definitely look forward to a heartfelt apology for your company's mistakes, for making my week a mess and causing me mental stress for the lack of communication, proof, and any prior apology.

Was quoted 499.00, went to rent and all of a sudden was 579.00. Strike one!

Scheduled for Friday and was later called saying couldnt deliver till Saturday.

Strike 2!!!

Saturday I had a crew waiting since 8 AM and not a word till after 10:00 when I had sent crew home and paid 2 hrs for doing nothing.

Horrendous company please save yourselves a headache and keep away from these guys. Budget dumpster rental gets 0.0 rating from me.

One day late on the first dumpster, causing issues with my project. I called to schedule removal when that was full and to order an additional dumpster.

That was late two days with no communication causing further delay, and the next delivery is 4 days after. I had to cancel that and order with a more reliable company.

Please do not work with this company, it's terrible. My driveway is damaged because they didn't place wood under the wheels of the dumpster, and of course, their "claims department" said it wasn't their fault and wouldn't do anything.

At no time was it mentioned that there was a weight limit for loading a dumpster and the only printed instructions was that items could not be placed over a certain height.

Late charge on my card with no prior notification. How is a residential customer able to guess the weight of a large dumpster or contest their alleged conclusions?

Certainly, I should have been notified before 45 to 60 days. It doesn't live up to their advertisements of 'flat fee' charges.

I rented a dumpster a week ago. The dumpster was delivered as promised.

However, upon requesting a second dumpster, the delivery didn't happen for at least four days after making the payment. Everyone I spoke to promised me a phone call from a supervisor. This went on for at least five days. Based on what I was promised, I advised my contractor of the promised delivery date.

Therefore, I was charged by the contractor due to them having to wait around for a dumpster that never arrived.

The supervisor finally called and offered my a $20 refund for the inconvenience. This is truly a dishonest, money hungry company who has no regard for customer satisfaction nor any concern for costs customers incur due to their unreliability.

Please note there are 2 emails attached that have already been sent to 2 different company emails. I don't know why you think your customers have all the day in the world to deal with what was supposed to be an easy service from your company be now turned into a headache and burden.

I also work and only have time between my own work to send these out and it is ridiculous. Your company should stop asking for customer numbers when your customer service fall to call when they said they would and your drivers can't pick up a phone to call when delivering or picking up and further wasting my time and money.1.I chose a pick up date for 9/25 because your company does not pick up on Sundays and received an email. I understood your company allows its driver 2 whole days to pick up the dumpster. However, your dispatch team sent out a driver on Saturday, September 23rd and tried to pick up the dumpster a whole 2 days in advance.

Your driver was told his pick up date was supposed to be on Monday, September 25th since I had 6 workers sorting the contents of the dumpster bin all day Saturday so that they can remove scrap metals and double check to make sure no electronics or wire made its way into the bin. Your driver, Jesus Viscaino called at 8:39 AM on Saturday, September 23rd. He assured me that someone would be back Monday and that the pick up date was their fault and I would not be getting charged extra.When I called on Monday your office was already closed and so I emailed and got a reply saying, "Hello, I apologize for the confusion, as we run on a 1-2 day window for removals your dumpster can be removed anytime between 9/25 and 9/26, between 6 AM and 6 PM. As today is the second day of the 1-2 day window this should be removed for you today."Since I already knew this, I waited till the end of the day and called again Wednesday because your offices were already closed Tuesday when I attempted to call again.

On Wednesday, yesterday I was told I would be getting a call back in the same day because I have other companies working at the house to complete a project this week.So fast forward to today, why would anyone in your company call me before 8 AM! I was called at 7:24 AM this morning which is way before standard business hours and I honestly do not care that your company works on the eastern standard hours. The caller lead with because someone on site where the dumpster was supposed to be pick up said not to take it away, I am now getting charge extra for turning they away and for extra days it was left behind! I email and called so that it could be picked up.

I am not paying your company for wasting my time and messing up the timeframe on my project.I have to now push my project back a whole week because your company did not pick up the dumpster on time and now you want to change me extra. My father and nephew have been waiting Monday and Tuesday for someone to pick up this ugly dumpster that basically blocks more than half of the drive way. I have calls and text messages from them updating me on whether or not someone picked it up.Will you or will you not pick up your ugly dumpster? I should honestly be changing you for every single day you do not pick it up as it costs me money to delay other workers that have been paid to work and finish up a project I already funded.2.So I have been patient enough this whole week with your company's lack of communication.

This is another reply to your invoice from 2 hours ago and your 5 sentence reply to our phone call around 7:30am which is before regular business hours.I want and demand proof your driver was onsite and ready for pick up Monday. I want to know who you spoke to and what time this occurred and I can review camera footage and check in with my neighbors since I have checked with my family and the tent living at the address for pick up. No one saw or spoke to a pick up driver on Monday or Tuesday so I would like to be provided proof of this interaction. I know for a fact your drivers have a tablet they put notes on, take pictures and have my information to call me.

If I am being charged for a turn away service it was because your dispatch team tried to pick up on Saturday 2 whole days before my scheduled pick up time.I was assured they would make sure not to charge me and that my pick up day would be Monday. No one came and I have the hardest time speaking to anyone in your customer service department. This is becoming more frustrating and unnecessary for me to have to deal with when I emailed monday for you to pick up and was told someone should be out here as late as Tuesday. When I called yesterday which was Wednesday they could not transfer me to anyone else and said I would get a call back the same day and have my service dealt with.

Instead, I got a call this morning before regular business hours with someone leading with, I am being charged for pick up failure and the additional days your company failed to pick up this unsightly dumpster.Now, I will have to push my project back a whole week because you failed to take this dumpster away and on top of that I am being charged additional fees when your company has no communication, customer service skills, or any professional workers to handle these situations. I have been in communication with others that used your services and have heard the same or similar experiences. I want proof of someone coming to my residence and a name that they may have talked to and the time they came. I did not receive a call from your driver like I did on Saturday.

Without this proof, I want this dumpster out of my driveway and I will not be paying your additional fees. If not, I will be taking legal action and will reach out to those that have had issues with your company.
Also, don't think of even trying to hit me with another fee like being over a ton. I have most of the heavy items taken out and check with the City of San Diego Waste Management. We made sure it was less than a ton and there were no electronics or wires in the dumpster.

Having no procedures for your dispatch team or the lack of is no excuse for the lack of communication or lack of proof when your customers have to give your drivers a 2 day pick up window and you do not require them to call and verify with the person making the purchase.

Please let me know before the end of day if you can provide such proof because as of right now your company seems like a scam. I will report this company to the federal trade commission for false advertisement and failure to follow your own procedures.

Hi, I order 4 dumpsters from the Budget Dumpster company which I paid for it on front and weeks later they over charged me 400% of the agreed price. when I contacted them they told me that we went passed the weight limit. They are very tricky dishonest business people, I hope some of you guys will see this review and make you think tow wise before you deal with them, respectfully Astrit Kalbaj Port Chester N.Y.

Overcharges and a frustrating Pickup

I'd like to give less than one star.

I ordered it for September 15 but they dropped it off on September 14! That's a whole day earlier than I needed it.

Since this was recommended to me by a customer, I figured I'd try it out for myself before using this company for my business.

So far they also tried to pick up a few days earlier than what was scheduled and now they refuse to get it out of my driveway.

My pick up date was between September 25-26 from 6am-6pm.

Which is a long pick up frame when they don't even call when they arrive or if they are on location. All I got in response to my email on Monday was, "Hello, I apologize for the confusion, as we run on a 1-2 day window for removals you dumpster can be removed anytime between 9/25 and 9/26, between 6 AM and 6 PM. As today is the second day of the 1-2 day window this should be removed for you today." I bet they didn't even look my account or rental up.

I emailed the 25th to be sure they were still picking up the dumpster and called the 26th to follow up when they didn't. When I called the 27 to explain the situation they promised to call me back in a few minutes.

After a good 30 minutes I called them back and their office was closed.

My pick up day was on Monday and it is now Thursday and they called me before 7:30am to let me know that because someone on site told the driver on Saturday which was 2 days before my scheduled pick up time to leave it longer and that my pick up date was Monday, I'm now going to get charged extra for this dumpster that is keeping me from finishing a project for my nieces birthday party next Saturday.

On top of this, I have a pay another company $150 for everyday they come out to start their work but since a dumpster is literally in the way, i have to keep telling them to delay their start.

I think they should be providing the drivers with the phone numbers we order the dumpsters with so they can call us instead of talking to stranger if they even come pick up the dumpster because I have been in contact with every person in the house and no one has seen or talked to the dumpster company.

After reading the comments and reviews, they better not charge me for it being over a ton because the other companies I hired take the heavier items and sort through the electronics.

So far, I am beyond livid and this company seems like another scam and if they can't communicate with their drivers or customers then they should focus on the orders they can provide better service to.

I also work with the city of San Diego and poway so I will be sharing this experience with other businesses and small companies I work with so they don't get scammed into spending more money on simple projects. If this company tries to blame me for the negligence of their drivers and customer service workers then I will dispute the charges and report them to the federal trade commission.

I'll be posting some pictures that I'll be putting together to file a complaint. Do all yourself a favor and do NOT rent from budget dumpsters.

*Here's an update on September 28th after speaking and emailing with Megan H about the dumpster being picked up up between Monday and Tuesday, and Christine P about the Saturday pick up refusal, I am not being charged $150 for a failed trip fee and $25 per day they did not pick it up. So the invoice they sent me is an additional $250 because they tried to pick it up a whole day early and refused to pick it up for an additional 4 days.

So they want to charge me extra on top of delaying my project. Sounds like a scam. I will be taking legal actions.

Keep in mind, I'm not mad at the people working for this company.

They do their best but they are frustrating to work with and I am thankful for the dispatched driver Jesus V. on Saturday for being understanding and way more helpful than the people in their customer service.

For those that are reading let me know how you think I should proceed because this has been so frustrating and unprofessional.

Poor Service

Budget is telling me that they will not have my total bill for up to 120 days from the time of pickup. I was not told that when I scheduled the dumpster.

I ordered a 15 foot rolloff dumpster per their website and was delivered a 12 foot rusted plywood for sides , trailer on 4 wheels (not ground level rolloff as advertised) . Immediately called customer service and sent them photos of what was delivered and the customer service rep continue to repeat or 15 foot Dumpsters come in various format.

And would not help resolve issue . She indicated she would have someone call me I never did.
Update - Jack reached out to me after this review. He was very pleasant, and apologetic.

He wanted to know how to make it right. He gave me a partial refund, and let me know he would be reaching out to the vendor, and addressing the rude escalation team that I spoke with .

Horrible communication and customer service

The man I sent my rental up with was helpful. The initial rental was 2 weeks, I told him I would need it longer than that and he texted me and said that they wont come get it until I contact them to schedule a pick up and to contact him towards the end of my rental to negotiate a cost for extending my rental.

He then never responded to any of my messages

I got no communication from the company other than automated emails

My replies to them went unanswered

I called and spoke to someone about needing it longer and she told me she would make sure it wouldnt end up on automatic pick up

Then I get an email with an invoice and a scheduled pick up.

I called to let them know I would like to set up a payment arrangement and would still like to extend my rental

They said I couldnt extend the rental and someone would contact me to set up a payment plan - that was last week

Yesterday I get emailed a new invoice and check my bank account to see they withdrew the entire balance at once

I called and demanded to speak to a supervisor but they cant transfer you to a supervisor, they said theyd transfer me to billing - they sent me to collections - he doesnt handle payment plans and couldnt connect me to the person who could

I got a call back from a supervisor today - am she offered to forward me the emails I was supposedly sent - I still havent received them and when I ask when this person supposedly emailed me she said she reached out several times - I said when and how??? She said by e-mail several times on the 5th so I said youre actually trying to tell me that one person sent several emails trying to reach me but couldnt pick up the phone even once ???

Ive been offered no partial refund or anything for my trouble and I wouldnt recommend doing business with them

Bait and switch

Horrible experience promised a four ton dumpster and then they had a "mix up" and could not deliver the four ton and gave a three ton (switch and bait). Then had to wait over a week to get the three ton dumpster.

When we completed our project we requested the dumpster to be removed and they could not remove on the promised date.

Budget dumpster apologized again and said they could not move it until another week and a half. Go elsewhere buyer beware, you pay for what you get with budget service.

Can't get them to pick up dumpster after told 3 different dates of pickup.

Needed to clear debris, junk from home. Done.

House on market, need it gone. They promised 3 times to pick it up. Since I already paid, I'm no longer a priority.

Now I have an open house tomorrrow and eyesore dumpster in my driveway! They could care less!
